Request account deletion

To request deletion, open the contact page and use the contact method shown there. Say that you want your data or account deleted, and include the email address associated with it.

Decide what you want deleted

You use the same account on SubLearn and the language-learning sites that share its account service. Say whether you want to delete just MicroItalian records or your whole shared account. Deleting the whole account also removes your sign-in on SubLearn and the other sites that use that account.

Before taking action, we may need to verify that the account is yours and confirm which data you want deleted. Keep passwords, sign-in codes and recovery links out of your message.

Before deletion

If you want to keep anything, request a copy of your data and wait until you receive it before proceeding with deletion. A deleted account cannot be restored.

If you have a paid subscription on another site or service, follow that service's cancellation instructions to stop renewals. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription. Any refund is a separate request under the terms of the service you paid.

Timing and records we must keep

The time limit depends on the law that applies to your request. If the UK GDPR applies, we must respond to an erasure request without undue delay and normally within one month. Any extension must follow the applicable rules, including notifying you and explaining the reasons within the first month.

The deadline concerns the response required by law, not simply confirmation that an email arrived. It does not mean every record or backup will be erased within a month. The retention and backup limits below may still apply.

Some records, such as payment and tax records, must be kept for as long as the law requires. Backup copies remain until the normal backup cycle replaces them. We will explain these limits if they apply to your request.
