What is a dictation?
In a dictation, you listen to a recording and write the words you hear, in the same order. Writing a summary or expressing the idea in your own words is a different activity.
Italian spelling can change a word's meaning. For example, è is a form of the verb essere, while e joins words or parts of a sentence. Keep the accent when writing the verb.
What does a score tell you?
An exercise score concerns that attempt, not your overall Italian level. Read the instructions and feedback for the actual exercise before deciding what to review.
Italian answer-checking rules are not available here yet. You cannot assume which spelling variants the site accepts or how it handles accent marks. Use an exercise only when it appears in the catalogue with its own instructions.
